These breakfast bars are satisfyingly healthy way to start your day! The oats will fill your belly, while the natural sugars will give you the energy to conquer whatever you have planned ahead. I always meal prep a batch on Sunday so I’m prepared for when I get busier during the week. In the morning my husband always grabs a bar before heading off to work!
Recipe:
– 1/2 cup medjool dates
– 3/4 cup GF oats
– 4 oz sugar free apple sauce🍎
– 2 tsp maple syrup or honey
– 1 shredded large carrot🥕
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– pinch of cloves
– 1.5 cup of nuts (I used 1c cashews and 1/2 c pecans)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees celsius. In a food processor combine the nuts, dates, oats, applesauce, cinnamon, carrot, and maple syrup. Then press mixture firmly into a 8×8 pan. Bake 12-15 minutes!
